What’s new

New features and changes, newest first. Big news is also posted in our Fluxer guild.

  1. Stats, Alienware Arena and English (UK)

    • !stats shows the bot's numbers, and !about got a proper card.
    • Alienware Arena is now a store of its own, with its page and filter.
    • English comes in two flavours: US (prices in $) and UK (prices in £).
    • The Showcase theme now really looks different: store logo, a grid of facts, the cover last.

  2. Watchlist, next on Epic and a new dashboard

    • New dashboard: your server's settings on one page, with the live preview beside them, a Save bar that only shows when something changed, and “Fix it” buttons when the bot can't post. Works on phones too.
    • Every server in the dashboard now shows its Fluxer instance logo.
    • !nextepic: the next free games Epic has announced, also on the Free games page.
    • !watch <name>: get a DM when a game goes free on any store, not just Steam. !watch shows your list.
    • Fixed: servers that removed the bot kept showing as active in the dashboard.
    • Opening the dashboard right after an update now asks you to reload instead of showing an error.

  3. More control for server admins

    • Separate channel for extras: DLC, in-game loot and software can go to their own channel, so the main one stays games-only.
    • Alert roles per store: give Steam, Epic, GOG… their own role; members pick theirs with !notify steam.
    • Weekly summary: prefer one message a week over one per freebie? Pick a day in the dashboard.

  4. Launch

    • GameHound is open to every Fluxer server.
    • New announcement design: the store logo on top, a clear “Get it” link and brand colours.
    • !hunt <name> looks for a specific game and !ending shows what ends in the next 48 hours.
    • Live preview of announcements in the dashboard.
    • The website in 8 languages, with a public status page.

  5. Getting ready

    • The bot speaks 8 languages: English, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Spanish, French, German, Swedish and Polish.
    • !notify lets members opt in to the free-games role themselves.
    • The dashboard checks the bot’s permissions and tells you why it can’t post, before it fails.
    • Store logos as filters in !hunt.

  6. First version

    • Free games from Epic, Steam, GOG, itch.io and more, posted the moment they go free.
    • A web dashboard with store, type and price filters, 5 themes and 4 currencies.
